Summary

  • Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra dummy units have now surfaced online with three new colour options.
  • The upcoming flagship is seen in silver, gold and iPhone 17 Pro-inspired Orange colourways.
  • Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 5,000mAh battery and 200 MP main camera.

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra is shaping up to be an interesting offering from the brand. From spec upgrades to design changes, the smartphone is buzzing in the rumour mill. Now, a fresh Galaxy S26 Ultra dummy leak has given us our first unofficial real-world look at the upcoming flagship and its alleged colourways.

There is a new "not so subtle" option for the fans to choose

The image shared by Reddit user r/samsunggalaxy reveals the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in three new colour options. We can see a Silver one, which looks very similar to the Titanium Silver option found with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. There is also another one which appears Golden from the image's angle.

However, the most striking one, almost sticking out like a sore thumb, is the new Dark Orange option in the middle. Obviously, it goes without saying where this new colour option has been "inspired" from.

Only last month, Apple launched the iPhone 17 Pro and the 17 Pro Max in a Cosmic Orange option. The Galaxy S26 Ultra's shade is an almost 100% match to that.

Now, even though the Galaxy S26 Ultra will receive the "copycat" allegations if this colour is actually real, it won't be the first time the brand has tried to make an Orange phone. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a Titanium Orange option, which is a Samsung exclusive option only for those who purchase the smartphone directly from them. It is still live on the Samsung India website and available to purchase as well.

So, the fact that Samsung is again going to make an Orange smartphone is not the issue here. It is actually the timing of this and frankly, the way it looks. We went through the Reddit comments of the post and fans are visibly upset. It is important for brands to maintain their unique identity and not just deliver "inspirations" year after year.

At the time of writing, we do not know how much this new leak can be trusted. However, given the current trend of Android smartphone brands, we won't be surprised if this new Orange option will actually materialise for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor

As for what the smartphone is going to bring to the table, it is very likely going to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Expect it to get paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM alongside 256 GB UFS 4.1 storage.

Apart from this, a 5,000mAh battery will still likely stay inside with bumped charging speeds to up to 60W. It might even bring the 25W Qi2.2 charging protocol to the mix. Camera-wise, fans can expect a 200 MP main sensor, the same 50 MP 5x periscope and 50 MP ultra-wide cameras and a 10 MP downgraded 3x telephoto sensor.
