The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be Samsung's next big flagship, and as 2025 draws to a close, more leaks of the smartphone have surfaced. The latest set of leaks reveals the phone's back design, showing off a camera module that sticks out more than its predecessors.
Galaxy S26 Ultra could boast a Z Fold 7-like Camera design
High-quality images and videos of Galaxy S26 Ultra's dummy units have arrived courtesy of OnLeaks, giving us the clearest look at the camera design of the smartphone. Moving away from the individual floating lens cutout from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the S26 Ultra could adopt a unified camera island similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The dummy units show a raised module housing the lenses, silver on white models and black on black units. This could be due to Samsung adopting a slimmer chassis this time around, which could bring the same "table wobble" annoyance observed in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Beyond the camera redesign, the Galaxy S26 Ultra retains much of its predecessor's DNA with the same overall shape, rounded corners and curved edges. Crucially, the S Pen slot is still there in its standard bottom-left location. The bottom houses the SIM tray, speaker grille and a USB-C port.

Specifications-wise, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with the same battery capacity as its predecessors. However, the charging speeds are reportedly being bumped to 60W from 45W, which should mean the phone should charge significantly faster.
While the phone will likely get a periscope camera upgrade, recent leaks revealed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could get new Camera Assistant features to improve autofocus speeds and manually adjust skin tones. These features were spotted in the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update that recently rolled out to the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
With a launch expected around February 2026, these dummy units suggest the Galaxy S26 series will be more about refinements than reinventing the wheel. However, users who prefer going caseless might find the change a bit polarising.
