The wait is finally over, as Samsung has now announced that it will be rolling out stable One UI 8 to select Galaxy devices this week. From new AI features and a better user experience to minor improvements and tweaks to the overall OS, the latest iteration of One UI 8 aims to add quite the value to Galaxy devices.
Samsung announced via its Newsroom that One UI 8 will roll out this week on the Galaxy S25 series. However, other devices, including the Galaxy S24 lineup, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy S24 FE, will be receiving the update "later this year."

One UI 8 features incremental upgrades. It is based on Android 16 and brings an improved Now Bar and Now Brief experience. Besides, it also features improvements to AI features like Audio Eraser, Portrait Studio and more. The release also features improvements to apps like Quick Share, Reminders app and the Weather app.
Other features include Call Captions, which instantly converts voices into text during calls, and an interpreter mode, which lets users translate ideas by typing. Some of the UX improvements include a 90:10 split-screen view, improvements to the secure folder and a more customisable dynamic lock screen clock.
More devices like the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy S23 FE should follow. It's expected to roll out to more One UI 8-supported devices by October and November 2025, including mid-range and budget Samsung devices.
