With the launch of Vivo X Fold 6 right around the corner, details about the smartphone's processor, display and design have already leaked. Adding to the existing details, Vivo has also finally confirmed the phone's battery capacity and water-resistant rating.

Vivo X Fold 6 to Feature 7,000mAh Battery

The confirmation comes from Vivo's Product Manager Han Baxiao via a Weibo post, which reveals that the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature a 7,000mAh battery. This confirms the previous leaks, which pointed towards the same. Besides, the post also confirms IPX8 and IPX9 ratings for the phone, making it highly water-resistant.

Delving more into the battery specifications, it uses Vivo's 5th-generation Silicon Carbon technology. Vivo claims that the 30% increase in capacity, coupled with better optimisations in OriginOS 6, could make it last for at least 9.8 hours on a single charge. 

Han also talks about the general improvements in durability of the X Fold 6, starting with its ability to sustain in extreme temperatures of up to -20 degrees. The video that he uploaded to the post shows the phone surviving extreme pressure from a water cannon, making it highly durable against extreme pressure jets.

Besides, the smartphone has also been revealed to feature a signal amplification system that greatly enhances the connectivity at higher altitudes and in high-rise buildings. All in all, Vivo claims that it's one of the strongest X Fold smartphones ever made.

For those unaware, Vivo X Fold 6's design has already been confirmed, featuring more rounded corners and a slightly prominent camera module in a new Teal Blue colourway. Vivo has also revealed several Vivo X Fold 6 key specifications, including the Dimensity 9500 processor and a Samsung M14 8.02-inch inner AMOLED display.

Optics-wise, the phone is confirmed to arrive with an upgraded 200 MP main camera coupled with 50 MP telephoto and ultrawide cameras, alongside support for the latest 200mm G2 Zeiss Teleconverter lens.

The Vivo X Fold 6 launch date in China is June 26, 2026, and more details about the smartphone should be revealed as we inch closer to the official launch, so stay tuned.
