Vivo is officially reviving one of its most requested camera features. Following a multi-generation hiatus, the brand has officially confirmed that Horizon Level Stabilisation will be available on the Vivo X300 Ultra out of the box. This should add great utility for those who want to get the most out of Vivo X300 Ultra's impeccable cameras.

Horizon Level Stabilisation Feature Returns with Vivo X300 Ultra

The confirmation came directly from Keshav Chug, camera team member, Vivo Global, who posted on X, "You asked, and it's here. Horizon Level Stabilisation is officially back on the Vivo X300 Ultra!". The post also includes a screenshot of the camera app on the Vivo X300 Ultra, clearly displaying the toggle within the video mode settings.

For those unaware, Horizon Level Stabilisation acts as a digital gimbal. It combines real-time sensor data and intelligently crops the image so that the software can lock onto the horizon line and keep the footage immaculately level. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra was one of the devices to adopt this feature recently, with its Horizon Lock.

The tool was previously seen in older Vivo flagships like the Vivo X80 Pro, Vivo X90 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro+. However, it was then removed from the X100 series onwards and continued to be excluded from the X200 lineup. Users clearly missed it, as we saw a wave of complaints from those who relied on the feature for action videography.

The Vivo X300 Ultra India launch is all set for May 6, 2026, alongside the more budget-friendly Vivo X300FE. Vivo should reveal more details about the flagship as we inch closer to the launch. That said, there's no confirmation on whether the Horizon Level Stabilisation feature will make it to older Vivo flagships with software updates.

However, considering it's a software addition and most Vivo flagships boast the hardware to complement the feature, it should make it to older smartphones. We should hear more from Vivo soon. Until then, stay tuned.
