Google has released the latest incremental testing build, Android 17 QPR1 Beta 7 update, to all eligible Pixels. The new firmware focuses on fixing many user-facing system interface bugs, visual glitches and stability issues.
Android 17 QPR1 Beta 7 Released
The Android 17 QPR1 Beta 7 update is rolling out to all the supported Google Pixel phones starting from the Pixel 6. The update boasts a build number CP31.260623.005 and weighs around 300 MB on our Pixel 8a unit. The changelog concentrates heavily on restoring proper functionality to the Quick Settings shade. Besides, several other anomalies have also been fixed.

One of the notable fixes restores Battery Share, resolving an issue where enabling the feature repeatedly triggered the charging animation without actually initiating wireless power sharing.
Besides, the update also eliminates a visual glitch that created an awkward gap between the system battery and mobile data icons in the status bar whenever Wi-Fi was toggled off. Another bug that caused the Settings app to crash while adjusting the system font size has also been addressed.
Beyond that, the update also tackles interface consistency for external desktop environments. The taskbar icons are now centre-aligned again when connected to external displays. It was previously left-aligned, which was officially confirmed to be an unintended bug.
Android 17 QPR1 Beta 7 arrives about a month after Google released the stable Android 17 update. As the brand continues to refine its software pipeline, users enrolled in the Android 17 Beta can download the update from Settings > System > Software updates. The stable Android 17 QPR1 update should come out very soon.
The upcoming Google Pixel 11 series should be the first phones to come with the Android 17 update right out of the box. The Pixel 11 series launch is confirmed for August 12, 2026.
