Apple's next-generation iPhone 18 Pro models could be headed for a dramatic visual overhaul, with a new report suggesting the Cupertino giant is preparing to introduce a quad-curved display. According to 9to5Mac, citing analyst Jeff Pu, Apple is actively working on a refreshed design language that could debut as early as next year, moving away from the current flat-edged aesthetic.
iPhone 18 Pro's Quad-Curved Display Could Mark the Biggest iPhone Redesign in Years
Thanks to previous leaks, we already know that Apple could be planning on the 20th anniversary iPhone display to be a micro-curved OLED. Reports point to a display that curves along all four edges, potentially creating a near bezel-less look that blends seamlessly into the iPhone's frame. This is going to be more or less similar to the quad-curved displays seen on Android phones these days.
So, the latest report basically suggests Apple will use this panel on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Notably, this development ties into Apple's larger multi-year design ambitions.

As reported earlier, the Cupertino giant is planning an iPhone redesign strategy over the next three years, gradually moving toward under-display components and a seamless front panel. The quad-curved display could represent a key step in that very direction.
Apple's willingness to invest in such ambitious hardware changes is also backed by its financial strength. As highlighted in the recent Apple Q2 2026 earnings call, the brand continues to post strong revenue growth, giving it flexibility to experiment with the iPhone 18 lineup more.
At the same time, the company appears to be balancing innovation with pricing strategy, as a recent report also suggested that the iPhone 18 Pro price could remain the same as the iPhone 17 Pro.
The iPhone 18 Pro models are turning out to be quite the upgrade themselves. As per recently leaked iPhone 18 Pro Max dummy units, we could see a shrunk-down Dynamic Island. Meanwhile, leaks have also suggested that the iPhone 18 Pro will feature a variable aperture camera system.
Not to mention that this is also said to be the case at a time when the ongoing RAM crisis has caused almost every OEM to increase smartphone prices.
