Earlier today, Google detailed all the new features gradually rolling out to all Android smartphones with the new June Android drop. One of the areas where Google has decided to expand is the ability to recognise and flag spoofed numbers. The brand has been testing Verified Calling for a while, and it's finally rolling out, alongside many other additions.
Android Can Now Flag Fake Calls Easily
Google has released a blog post revealing all the new features headed to Android smartphones, and one of them is the RCS-powered Fake Call Detection. It is designed to intercept and flag spoofed phone numbers. It appears to be a consumer equivalent of the Verified Caller feature that Google was testing back in April 2026.

The feature functions as a "Digital handshake" between phones running Google's official Phone by Google dialer. Upon receiving a call, the caller's phone transmits a verification signal to the recipient's phone. The process then confirms that the call is legit and originated from the contact's actual hardware. This is built right into the RCS infrastructure for better privacy.
Besides this, Google is also expanding AirDrop support in Quick Share on more Android smartphones. This includes the OnePlus 15, Xiaomi 17T Pro and Honor Magic V6 smartphones. The brand has also detailed a support roadmap for future devices, with the feature potentially expanding to all Android smartphones within the next few quarters.
Google has also highlighted the Photo Wardrobe feature in collaboration with Motorola. The brand detailed it a few months ago, and it's coming soon. The tool uses Google Photos to scan the images for clothing and saves them in a digital closet. Users can then test outfits digitally and share them with friends.
The feature drop also introduces new security protocols via Personal Safety Features for kids. The suite brings Crash Detection, Location sharing and the ability to display emergency medical details directly on the phone's lock screen.
That said, Google is also adding a "Find the look" feature to Circle to Search, letting users search for entire outfits without navigating away from their current app. Most of these features are now gradually rolling out to Android smartphones, while some may arrive on a later date. So, stay tuned.
