Motorola is soon expected to unveil its next flagship smartphone, the Moto X70 Ultra, in China, with global release expected in 2026. Some of the key specifications of the smartphone have leaked, and they point toward a sub-flagship processor, triple camera setup and a flat, crisp, high refresh rate OLED display.
Motorola X70 Ultra could get a triple 50 MP camera setup
According to the tipster BaldPanda on Weibo, the Motorola X70 Ultra could feature a flat 6.7-inch 120 Hz 1.5K OLED display and a triple 50 MP camera setup consisting of a 50 MP main, 50 MP periscope telephoto and 50 MP ultrawide sensor.

The leak also reveals that the phone might be powered by Qualcomm's latest sub-flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This aligns with a Moto X70 Ultra Geekbench listing where the Moto X70 Ultra was spotted running Android 16 with 16 GB RAM.
The official colourways have been tipped yet again, and they match those highlighted in the initial leaks, i.e., Black, Green and Bronze. Speaking of which, the design has previously been tipped to be slim and lightweight.

Motorola is expected to unveil the phone in global markets as the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra. While the global launch is still pretty far, tipster Evan Blass claims that Motorola may drop the Edge moniker, launching it instead as the first model in a new Motorola signature lineup to distinguish it from the standard range.
This also makes sense considering the "Edge" in Motorola flagships represented the curved display. Since the X70 Ultra will boast a flat OLED panel, it's no longer necessary to call it with the Edge branding.
As for the phone's launch date, the exact date and month are unknown, but to reiterate, it's expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026. More information about its launch date and specifications should be unveiled as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
