The OnePlus 15 launched in November 2025 without dual eSIM support in India, even though the feature was available in Europe from day one. However, OnePlus seems to be addressing this by rolling out dual eSIM support to the smartphone in India, allowing users to use two eSIMs at once.

OnePlus 15 Gets Dual eSIM Support in India

A post on OnePlus Community suggests that OnePlus has activated dual eSIM support on the OnePlus 15. A screenshot shared by the user shows their OnePlus 15 running two eSIMs – one from Jio and the other from Vi. Both the SIMs are toggled on and active, confirming the phone can now handle two digital SIM cards simultaneously.

The feature seems to have arrived after OnePlus recently rolled out the OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 update for the OnePlus 15, but its changelog had no mention of the feature's arrival. For a long time, community members have lobbied the brand to implement dual eSIM capabilities. The addition finally allows them to manage two networks, while keeping the physical SIM card slot completely free.

While the dual eSIM feature is currently only available on the OnePlus 15, it could potentially expand to more phones such as the OnePlus 15R. Other community posts also hint at the same with the recent rollout of early OxygenOS 16 builds. However, we don't know the exact timeline of the feature's rollout. Considering the OnePlus 15 is already receiving it, other phones won't have to wait for too long.

OnePlus has yet to release a formal announcement detailing the feature. However, the feature itself should help make SIM cards more secure if the phone were to get stolen. Since eSIMs are not physically bound to the phones, it makes it impossible for bad actors to remove them and makes it easier for users to trace their phone's location.
