After giving us Photo Assist, Writing Assist and the newer contextual Now Nudge feature, Samsung is buckling up to turn your Galaxy phone into your personal vet. The South Korean brand is reportedly working on introducing an AI-powered pet care tool that may even save your pet's life.
Samsung Brings AI-Backed Pet Care To Galaxy Phones
Samsung is currently showcasing a range of tech products and innovations at Europe's VivaTech 2026 convention. It is bringing a plethora of AI healthcare features under its Xealth ecosystem and one of them is a new Galaxy AI pet care tool, developed and distributed in partnership with Lifet, a US healthcare startup.

The new feature will allow users to take photos of their pet and upload them to Galaxy AI to get them analysed. Samsung claims that the feature can detect health issues in animals with 97% accuracy and can correctly identify common issues like dental problems, cataracts and patellar luxation.
It even lets users ask follow-up questions to get personalised pet care recommendations and even detect health issues early on. While a similar feature is already available on Lifet's website, the Galaxy AI integration means that eligible Galaxy phones will turn into a portable pet care system.
That said, the new pet care Galaxy AI feature will first roll out in the USA. It is unclear at the time of writing if it will reach other regions like India and Europe. Also, the feature will only work in tandem with the SmartThings and Pet Care service apps.
