It is still the same flat glass and metal sandwich, with some distinct markers here and there

Summary

  • Samsung Galaxy S26+ CAD renders have revealed a new Orange colourway along with a pill-shaped camera island.
  • It retains the flat profile with even and minimal display bezels, an aluminium mid-frame and a glass back.
  • Expected specs include a 6.7-inch 120 Hz AMOLED display, the Exynos 2600 and 4,900mAh battery.

Not too long ago, reports of the Galaxy S26 Edge being discontinued seemingly confirmed the return of the "Plus" model in Samsung's upcoming flagship lineup. Since then, the rumour mill has been buzzing with all sorts of speculations. Now, a new report has given us what seems to be our first look at the Galaxy S26 Plus via CAD renders.

Looks familiar but has a new eye-catching coat of paint to offer

Tech publication Android Headlines has exclusively broken cover on what is seemingly the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26+. The report features several high-resolution renders of the upcoming phone, offering a glimpse into its design and colour options.

Right off the bat, one thing is clear: Samsung is not bringing a drastic change to an already recognisable design language. The Galaxy S26+ retains the same tall and flat glass and metal design as the Galaxy S25.

The display is still flat with very minimal and uniform bezels all around. It will still feature rounded corners just like the previous generation.

This also brings us to the rear triple cameras, which now have a pill-shaped vertical island instead of the floating lens design we saw till the Galaxy S25 series. It looks as if Samsung took the rear camera design of the Galaxy S25 Edge and decided to add another lens to the mix.

Aside from that, the smartphone still features the power and volume buttons on the right with the SIM tray, the USB-C port, the secondary microphone and the speaker all crammed at the bottom. Now, while the design of the Galaxy S26+ has not undergone a major shift, the presence of a new Orange colour option seems to be an interesting choice.

We saw the same shade of Orange when the Galaxy S26 Ultra CAD renders surfaced online. It is clear here as well that this particular shade of Orange has been borrowed from the Cosmic Orange colourway of the iPhone 17 Pro models.

As for the key specs, the S26+ is said to feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz AMOLED 2X display and run the Exynos 2600 on the inside. A recent Galaxy S26 Plus specs leak also highlighted the fact that the device is getting camera upgrades. Instead of the 10 MP telephoto camera that we saw on the S24+, the S26+ is getting a 12 MP telephoto lens instead. Battery-wise, it will still have the 4,900mAh capacity as that of the 2024 model.

That said, since the Galaxy S26 series launch is expected to happen in February 2026, we still have close to three months till the smartphone goes official. It will be joined by the standard Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Also, since these are CAD renders and not an official confirmation, take these details with a pinch of salt.
