The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated launches this year and the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event is merely a few days away. Now, ahead of that, the actual retail unit of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is already out, in the hands of an actual person and we have our first real-life benchmark results of the smartphone.

Galaxy S26 Ultra early benchmark results are surprisingly low

Dubai-based tech influencer Sahil Karoul has already got his hands on what is to be the actual retail unit of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. He has posted several images and videos on X revealing multiple details of the phone. One of them contains the AnTuTu, Geekbench and Wild Life Extreme Test benchmark results.

His unit has managed to score 3,720,219 points in AnTuTu, 3,648 points in single-core, and 10,898 points in the multi-core Geekbench benchmark. While the Geekbench results are on par with other Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset phones, the AnTuTu test result is relatively lower.

Karoul has also confirmed that his Galaxy S26 Ultra has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Hence, this could mean that since his phone is an early retail unit, the scores are not at par with other phones. With Samsung pushing a day one update at launch, the scenario could better.

The same goes for the Wild Life Extreme Stress Test, where the phone has achieved only 53.2% stability, reaching a maximum temperature of 44°C. In his post, Karoul has mentioned that he has not noticed any heating issue with the Galaxy S26 Ultra during these tests. However, the test results do show heavy throttling and poor heat management.

That said, it is still too early to comment on how well the smartphone will perform at launch. With the Galaxy S26 lineup going official on February 25, 2026, fortunately we will not have to wait long to know ourselves what the new Galaxy S26 series has to offer in terms of performance.
