In terms of features, there are no major new changes spotted with One UI 9 so far. Most of the major feature releases happened when the stable One UI 8.5 arrived for the Galaxy S26. Hence, One UI 9 beta is mostly focused on fixes and improvements. Here's everything included in the One UI 9.0 changelog:

  • Fixed issue where GPUWatch stop popup occurred
  • Improved the issue where the routine app did not work under specific conditions (app opening).
  • Improved status bar display errors
  • Fixed an error where changes to the lock screen clock font were not reflected while LockStar was installed.
  • Improved system lag during bulk message deletion
  • Improved the issue where the lock screen clock gradually slides down
  • Improved game booster entry point setting errors

As it is evident, most of these changes are under-the-hood improvements and minor stability and performance bumps. While the update likely includes some of the new Android 17 features as well as some One UI 9 leaked upgrades like a vibrant and refreshed media player or the Tap to Share feature, they are not mentioned within the changelog.

That said, if you want to install the latest One UI 9 update, head over to the Samsung Members app and find the banner for the One UI 9 beta program. Once done, tap on it to register and proceed to download the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.  To know more, check out our One UI 9 eligible device list to learn when your Galaxy phone will receive the update.
