For the past decade, file transfers on Android have been as simple as pressing a few buttons in the new UIs. While some manufacturers have tried using gestures to trigger transfers, the idea never really took off. However, Vivo could soon introduce a Shake & Share files feature with the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra and X300 FE India launch. It will be a gesture-based file transfer system integrated into OriginOS 6.
Vivo X300 Ultra, X300 FE Shake and Share Feature Detailed
According to Yogesh Brar via Smartprix, Vivo could bring the new Shake and Share feature for users to physically shake their phones to discover and group nearby Vivo smartphones. This bypasses the traditional Nearby Share menu, instantly creating a localised transfer group.
So, instead of tapping buttons to find nearby phones, users could shake their phones to find each other and instantly connect in a group. No more annoying pairing requests or slow loading screens.

Once linked up, users could grab a photo, video or a file on their screen and drag it up to Origin Island, one of the best OriginOS 6 features. The file will be instantly transferred to the group, although users can still choose to pick files normally from folders.
However, the coolest part of Shake & Share is that, much like AirDrop support on Quick Share, Vivo users can also share files with iPhones. While it's unknown whether the underlying technology is the same, this should make file sharing between the ecosystems much easier.
This marks the second newest software feature that Vivo is bringing to its upcoming smartphones. The brand has also confirmed that Horizon Level Stabilisation is returning to Vivo phones, which should help users level up their content creation game.
The latest report states that the Shake & Share feature will be a special feature only for the Vivo X300 Ultra and X300 FE for now. For those unaware, the Vivo X300 FE and Vivo X300 Ultra launch date in India is confirmed for May 6, 2026.
More information about the upcoming flagship phones should drop as we inch closer to launch. Until then, stay tuned.
