The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 is set to launch next week, and the Vivo X300 series will be the first to feature it. While we've seen numerous leaks about the chipset already, the latest Geekbench spotting provides another glimpse into what to expect from the Dimensity 9500.
An unknown Vivo device, presumably the Vivo X300 Pro, has appeared on Geekbench with the Dimensity 9500 SoC. In the latest result, the processor scores 3,502 points in single-core and 10,393 points in multi-core, which is considerably higher than the previously leaked scores.

Neither of these scores is closer to what the initial Dimensity 9500 rumours suggested, i.e., over 3,900 and 11,000 points in single and multi-score. However, since they're higher, we may still be looking at a prototype, albeit one that's almost in its final stages.
While it's struggling to take the fight to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5's 11,252 multi-core Geekbench score, it surpasses Apple A19's 8,810 points and A19 Pro's 9,746 points. However, it's still behind its rivals in the single-core department.
We already know that the Dimensity 9500 will be an octa-core chipset with Arm's new C1 cores running at a maximum frequency of 4.21GHz. It's also expected to get a GPU upgrade with the Mali-G1-Ultra MC12 (Drage), which is expected to bump the overall gaming performance and power efficiency.
The benchmark result confirms that the device is running Android 16, with OriginOS 5 expected on top. Besides, the phone could have 16 GB of RAM. The Dimensity 9500 is also expected to power the Oppo Find X9 series, launching later next month.
With Qualcomm confirming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 next week, it should be interesting to see how the Dimensity 9500 stacks up. Stay tuned as we will be comparing both the flagship chipsets to see which comes out on top. The Dimensity 9500 launch is scheduled for September 22, 2025, in China.
