Samsung has been hard at work testing its upcoming major One UI 9 update on the Galaxy S26 series. We've seen two Betas of the same, but according to the recent information, Samsung could soon expand these betas to more phones. Now, Samsung has seemingly started testing internal One UI 9 builds on the Galaxy S25 series.
One UI 9 Beta Could be Headed to Galaxy S25 Series
According to prominent tipster Tarun Vats, Samsung has officially commenced the internal testing of One UI 9 for the Galaxy S25 series. While the initial test builds have been spotted, the build version remains under wraps due to encryption challenges.

Tarun highlights that the builds are almost 2 weeks earlier than usual, compared to One UI 8 testing for the Galaxy S24 series, which was spotted on June 19, 2025. This signifies that Samsung has accelerated testing for the S25 series, and the first One UI 9 Beta for the series could arrive very soon, probably later in June 2026. Moreover, it also hints at more One UI 9 eligible devices getting the update soon.
If these reports hold, the brand is operating on a faster schedule compared to its previous cycle to roll out the update to more Samsung phones. Although there are still chances that development hurdles could arise, leading to the stable update getting delayed. However, right now, everything seems to be on track for Samsung and One UI 9.
That said, there is still no information about the Beta program on the Galaxy S24 series, but considering the brand is moving much faster, the same could arrive in July 2026, right around the next Galaxy Unpacked 2026, rumoured for July 22, 2026.
For those unaware, One UI 9 will boast most of the Android 17 features. The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Fold 8 (previously Wide) are expected to arrive with One UI 9 out of the box.
Some of the One UI 9 features that were recently leaked include a better Lockdown mode, more keyboard customisations using Theme Park and more. While One UI 9 is missing the Android 17 Smart Replies feature, it is expected to bring Quick Settings customisations, revamped lock screen media player and more.
