It is no surprise that Samsung has been working tirelessly behind closed doors to prepare the Exynos 2600 processor for its 2026 flagships. While brands like Qualcomm and MediaTek have already managed to launch their flagship processors, Samsung has been tight-lipped until now. The brand has officially started teasing the new flagship processor.
Exynos 2600 is set to begin Samsung's redemption arc
The official YouTube handle of Samsung posted a 30-second video teasing the upcoming Exynos 2600 mobile chipset. It follows a very cryptic note and sets the tone for a grand reveal. The video carries the message – “In Silence, We listened. Refined at the Core. Optimized at every level. To express the exceptional. The next Exynos is coming. It’s time to express the exceptional”.

At the time of writing, no other detail has been shared by Samsung. We do not even know when will the chipset get unveiled. However, one thing is certain. With Exynos 2600, be prepared to witness the world's first 2nm chipset to launch in the market.
It will reportedly be manufactured on Samsung's 2nm GAA (Gate-All-Around) process and will feature a deca-core CPU architecture, just like the Exynos 2500. So, expect the SoC to feature a 1+3+6 CPU configuration and boast the Xclipse 960 GPU.

As for the SoC's performance, a recent Exynos 2600 Geekbench listing suggests matching scores to those of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. So, it is without a doubt that Samsung has been working hard behind the scenes to launch its in-house flagship processor in 2026. It might finally redeem itself and lodge its entry into the flagship processor race.
Talking about the smartphones that will use the new Exynos chip, the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Plus are the strongest contenders. However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will most likely ship with the Snapdragon processor.
That said, with reports of Galaxy S26 series launch delay, it could be sometime before we see the Exynos 2600 chip in action. Since Samsung has officially started teasing it, expect to hear more in the coming days.
