Samsung is expected to introduce a new Galaxy S27 Pro model alongside the usual Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+ and Galaxy S27 Ultra next year. It appears that Samsung could be making this Pro model the face of its next Exynos chipset comeback, as a new report claims that the phone will be powered by the Exynos 2700 in most markets.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro Could Get Exynos 2700 in Most Regions

A new report from South Korean publication Money Today has revealed that Samsung is planning to rely more heavily on its in-house chipset with the Galaxy S27 series. As part of that strategy, the company is reportedly preparing to equip the Galaxy S27 Pro with the yet-to-be-announced Exynos 2700 chipset.

Moreover, the report claims that the phone will launch with the next-gen Exynos chipset in most regions, including India. Only units sold in North America are said to bear a Qualcomm processor, possibly the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 for Galaxy. This includes regions like Canada, Mexico and the USA.

This might end up being a dealbreaker for some, especially in Asia, where Exynos chips are infamous for their heating issues due to the hot tropical climate. Also, if the Exynos 2600 chipset is any indication, the Exynos 2700 might also end up being underpowered compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.

However, the Exynos 2700 Geekbench listing does confirm that the SoC will be based on the 2nm SF2P node, the same as the Exynos 2600. Combined with the HPB (Heat Path Block) tech, it could result in up to 25% better efficiency and up to 12% faster performance. It could also come with the Side-by-Side (SBS) packaging design, which places the application processor and the DRAM side by side, same as the Exynos 2600.

That said, the Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to be unveiled in February 2027 alongside the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+ and the Galaxy S27 Ultra. With more than six months left to launch, there is still time for more concrete details to emerge. So, stay tuned.
