Just last month, we got a good look at Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8 design, which appeared to be mostly similar to the last generation. However, contrary to what the tech world expected, the upcoming flip phone could miss out on native Qi2 support.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Renders Leaked
Folks over at SammyGuru spotted published listings for Galaxy Z Flip 8 cases from casemaker Dux Ducis. It appears that the casemaker will offer the Aimo Series Back Cover and Aimo Mag Series Back Cover for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8.

While the listings are mostly the usual marketing mumbo jumbo, there's a key thing to notice here. Previously, going by Galaxy Z Flip 8 dummy units leaked by reliable tipster Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson on X), it was believed that the phone would arrive with built-in Qi2 magnets.

However, it appears Samsung is not fully committing to a native Qi2 wireless charging support just yet. Instead, from the looks of it, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 mag cases will have a magnetic ring for Qi2 accessories.
Apart from this, thanks to leaks and reports, we know that the upcoming flagship flip phone will arrive with the Exynos 2600 chipset. The phone is also expected to be 6.6mm thick when unfolded and 13.2mm thick when folded, making it slightly slimmer than the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 specifications are also said to include a 6.9-inch inner display and a 4.1-inch cover screen.
While nothing else can be said about the phone at this point, since the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8 and Wide Fold BIS listings surfaced online recently, we know that launch is imminent. If past records are anything to go by, expect the Galaxy Z Flip 8 to launch alongside foldable cousins sometime in July 2026.
