Summary

  • Vivo X300 and X300 Pro teased to feature a sculpted back panel, camera deco and 7mm thickness.
  • Vivo is using an integrated cold-sculpting technology to create a camera bump which is only 1.28mm thick.
  • The X300 is confirmed to feature a 200 MP Samsung HPB "Thanos" sensor, while the Pro will use the same for periscope.

Vivo is slowly peeling back the details of the X300 and X300 Pro smartphones with each passing day. With some of the camera and display details of the smartphones already official, the brand has now given us a glimpse into the design of the devices.

The latest Weibo post from Han Boxiao has teased the design of the upcoming Vivo X300 and the Vivo X300 Pro smartphones. He confirmed that both smartphones share the same 7mm sleek body.

Boxiao claims that the super sleek profile of the smartphone has been achieved by utilising a "groundbreaking, ultra-thick, integrated cold-sculpting technology". The back glass of the smartphones is apparently "three times thicker than that of ordinary phones".

This new sculpted design has integrated the camera deco with the back glass seamlessly. It appears to be moulded out of a single piece, which gives the devices a continuous and premium feel.

Vivo's Product Manager has further added that even though the smartphones feature a 200 MP Samsung HPB "Thanos" sensor, the brand has managed to keep the camera bump as low as 1.28mm. For context, he says that this is the same amount of lens protrusion that smartphones from 10 years back offered.

While Boxiao has not completely revealed the X300 lineup's design, it does appear to feature the same kind of sculpted design that the Oppo Find X5 Pro offered back in 2022. He claims that "the design is so thin and invisible, so smooth and invisible that it feels natural and comfortable when brushed by your finger."

Apart from this, no other details regarding the design of the X300 and X300 Pro have been revealed. Boxiao is even holding back on the colour options for the smartphones. However, he does add that "the X300 series represents our largest investment in design ever and will be the best-looking and tactile X series ever!"

Additionally, the Vivo X300 series is said to feature super slim display bezels by incorporating LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Overmolding) technology. It is claimed to become the first smartphone to feature dual eye-care support. The panel will also feature Zeiss Optic's Master Color display calibration with full-link ZEISS Natural Color technology.

Both phones are said to bring OLED displays, with the standard X300 becoming the compact offering of the lot with a 6.3-inch panel. The X300 series is reportedly going to be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. The X300 and the X300 Pro are also expected to arrive with a dual IP68 + IP69 rating, wireless charging and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

That said, the flurry of official confirmations indicates an inevitable launch of the X300 series soon. It is expected to launch in October 2025. Hence, we will likely have to wait another month to learn more about the smartphones.
