Summary

  • Vivo X300 has been officially confirmed to feature very narrow display bezels throughout.
  • The brand will use LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Overmolding) technology to achieve this feat.
  • The Vivo X300 display will also feature Zeiss Master Color calibration, a dual eye-care system and more.

Vivo has slowly started revealing the key details of the Vivo X300 lineup.  Vivo's Product Manager, Han Boxiao has been consistently sharing information and now he has revealed some more details regarding the display of the Vivo X300.

The latest Weibo post from Han Boxiao has revealed ultra slim bezels for the Vivo X300. He has also shared an image comparing the display bezels on the standard Vivo X300 to that of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro.

From the above image, it is clear that the Vivo X300's bezels are ever so slightly thinner than that of the iPhone 16 Pro. For context, the iPhone 16 Pro is said to feature 1.15mm screen bezels. While Boxiao has kept the exact values "a secret for now", we can expect the Vivo X300 to feature somewhere close to 1.10mm bezels.

The brand has achieved this feat by incorporating LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Overmolding) technology. This tech is usually used in semiconductor components for the purpose of injection moulding delicate circuit components. Hence, using this tech Vivo wants to deliver an immersive edge-to-edge viewing experience with the Vivo X300.

Speaking of experience, its not just the display bezels that are getting a facelift. Boxiao claims that the display experience on the X300 will be "exceptional". It will use a BOE and Vivo co-developed Q10 plus luminous material to achieve higher brightness, reduce colour shift and increase power efficiency.

The panel will also feature Zeiss Optic's Master Color display calibration with full-link ZEISS Natural Color technology to deliver the highest resolution display output with true-to-life colour tones.

Additionally, the Vivo X300 will debut the first ever dual eye-care support. It will be able to deliver hardware-based 2,160 Hz PWM Dimming frequency at full brightness alongside DC Dimming. Users will get the option to choose from either of the two. The dual eye-care system will work in tandem with the OriginOS 6’s visual comfort features.

So, it is clear that the Vivo is going to equip the X300 with flagship-level features to deliver a true premium experience. Speaking of premium, Boxial also confirmed a while back that the X300 will feature a 200 MP main sensor. It is said to be a custom-made Samsung HPB "Thanos" sensor with a large 1/1.4 aperture and  CIPA 4.5 level optical image stabilisation.

Previous leaks indicate that the main camera unit will be joined by a 50 MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 50 MP 3x periscope Sony IMX885 70mm telephoto camera module. Apart from this, it is speculated to feature a 6.3-inch 120 Hz OLED display and draw its power from the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor.

That said, we expect Boxiao to reveal more details regarding the Vivo X300 series with an official launch date confirmation as well.
