1. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event is confirmed for July 22, 2026, at 6:30 PM IST, where the company is expected to unveil its next-generation foldable lineup. Thanks to a detailed Galaxy Z Fold 8 series specs leak, we already know pretty much everything about what to expect from the foldables.
Starting with the wide-screen Galaxy Z Fold 8, it's tipped to sport a 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED display and a 5.5-inch cover screen, both with 120 Hz refresh rates, giving the phone a passport-like 16:10 aspect ratio. It will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset for Galaxy, paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Camera-wise, leaks point to a dual 50 MP rear setup and 10 MP selfie cameras on both displays, backed by a 4,800mAh battery with 45W charging.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is rumoured to be the more premium option with an 8-inch foldable display and a 6.5-inch cover screen, also at 120 Hz. Both Fold models are already confirmed to be using Samsung's new Flex Titanium Display to reduce crease visibility. Additionally, the Ultra variant reportedly steps things up on cameras with a 200 MP main sensor, a 10 MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera. There's also a 5,000mAh battery, which would make it the largest battery ever fitted into one of Samsung's dual-screen foldables.
As for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, it largely carries over the Z Flip 7's design and hardware. Rumoured specs include a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover-free display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 4.1-inch cover screen, as last year's model. The clamshell foldable is also expected to be powered by an Exynos 2600 chipset (at least in Europe) and sport 12 GB of RAM and a 4,300mAh battery. The camera setup is said to remain unchanged too, with a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 10 MP selfie camera.

This year marks a notable restructuring of Samsung's foldable lineup, with rumours suggesting the standard Z Fold 8 is being renamed to Z Fold 8 Ultra, while the Wide foldable takes on the standard Z Fold 8 name. Alongside the foldables, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 series and Watch Ultra 2, and may give a sneak peek of its upcoming Galaxy smartglasses.

Rumours suggest that the Z11 Lite could be a rebranded Vivo T5 Lite 5G, which would mean that it could also feature a 6,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging and a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. For optics, there could be a 50 MP primary camera, and a 5 MP front camera.

Rounding off the week, the Lava Virat V1 5G and Virat V1 launch date in India is confirmed for July 24, 2026, and will be sold exclusively via Flipkart.
The Lava Virat V1 5G is confirmed to sport a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, powered by a Unisoc T8200 chipset paired with 4 GB of RAM (expandable by another 4 GB virtually) and 64 GB of storage. It packs a 6,000mAh battery and runs a clean, bloatware-free version of Android. Camera-wise, it gets a 13 MP AI dual rear setup and a 5 MP front camera, and will be available in Arya Blue and Sonar Gold colourways.
The standard Lava Virat V1 4G variant shares the same 6.75-inch HD+ display but skips the high refresh rate.
