OnePlus 15 will officially launch in China next week. While we are still a few days away from the official unveiling, the brand has been sharing key details about the smartphone consistently. Now, some of the key camera details of the upcoming flagship have been confirmed.
OnePlus 15 will sport the Oppo Lumo Imaging System
The President of OnePlus China, Li Jei Louis, has revealed that the upcoming OnePlus 15 will be backed by Oppo's Lumo Condensed Light Imaging system. For those unaware, introduced back in 2023, the Lumo Imaging System uses advanced algorithms, computational photography and custom-tuned lenses and sensors to deliver the most accurate true-to-life colour reproduction along with DSLR-level portrait shots.

The recent Oppo Find X9 launch in China saw the phones featuring the Lumo Imaging tech. Additionally, OnePlus has also stated that this technology will enhance the smartphone's camera performance.
The OnePlus 15 will use a super light-sensitive computational optics system paired with a super-sensing digital imaging engine and full-link Pro XDR. It will also be able to achieve multi-level HD portrait and snapshot output, along with support for 4K @ 120 FPS Dolby Vision video recording capability.

Moreover, all of this will be paired with a triple 50 MP rear camera setup. The OnePlus 15 will feature a 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP 3.5x periscope telephoto lens and a 50 MP ultra-wide angle camera.
As per an earlier leak, the main sensor is said to be the Sony LYT-700 snapper, while both the telephoto and ultra-wide lenses are expected to make use of the Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor.
Now, aside from Oppo's Lumo camera system and a triple 50 MP camera setup, the OnePlus 15 will also become the first phone to launch with the brand's in-house DetailMax Camera Engine and ditch Hasselblad.

However, according to Louis, this will not completely rid the smartphone of Hasselblad's presence. The smartphone will "retain" the signature Master Mode and the Wide Format Mode from the earlier Hasselblad-branded phones, like the OnePlus 13. Louis says that those who are familiar with OnePlus's co-developed camera system will see that the "flavour is still there" with their independent system as well.
Aside from that, the smartphone is already confirmed to draw its power from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It will also include a large 5,778 mm² vapour chamber cooling system. Moreover, the smartphone will feature a new P3 display chip, which will offer 1 nit of low brightness and be capable of reaching peak brightness values of up to 6,000 nits.

The OnePlus 15 display, which is said to be a third-gen BOE X3 OLED panel, is set to offer an 11.8% improvement in colour shift, 30% improvement in panel longevity and an additional 10% power reduction. Apart from that, a recent OnePlus 15 specifications leak revealed a 7,300mAh battery capacity with support for 120W fast USB-C charging and 50W wireless charging for the smartphone.
That said, the OnePlus 15 China launch date has been set for October 27, 2025. It will launch alongside the OnePlus Ace 6. So, expect more official details to surface soon before the final unveiling of the smartphone.
