While we are still a few months away from the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, leaks and rumours have already started pouring in. This time around, dummy units of the smartphones have surfaced online for the first time, giving us a good idea of what the phones may look like.
Tech reviewer Sonny Dickson has shared an X post containing the dummy units of the alleged Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro, the Galaxy S26 Edge and the Galaxy S26 Ultra in that order.
Here’s your first look at the Samsung Galaxy S26 dummies, Launching in February, and it looks like Samsung is going with a design very similar to the iPhone 17. pic.twitter.com/z581xHUxph

Looking at the image, while the Pro and the Ultra models look very Samsung-esque, the Edge one seems like an imposter. The S26 Pro and S26 Ultra feature slight design changes to include a small camera island around the main triple camera setup. They are still boxy with rounded corners.
The S26 Edge is also getting a camera island. However, it goes all the way across the phone and house only two cameras. The design seems to be heavily inspired by the upcoming iPhone 17 series. It resembles the alleged look of the iPhone 17 Pro models.

While nothing is confirmed as of yet, if true, the Galaxy S26 Edge will stick like a sore thumb across the Galaxy S26 lineup. It may generate mixed feeling amongst fans who do not want Samsung to lose its core identity.
And its not only the design that's getting a major overhaul. Samsung is expected to make significant changes to its lineup next year. For starters, the Galaxy S26 series could ditch the Plus variant and replace it with the Galaxy S26 Edge. The base Galaxy S26 is also reportedly getting renamed to the Galaxy S26 Pro.

Additionally, reports suggest that Samsung is considering adding 60W charging in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The same could reflect across the other two models as well. Apart from this, all models are expected to feature AMOLED displays with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (could also be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5) at the helm.
That said, since the smartphones are expected to go live by the month of January in 2026, we should see more details surface soon in the coming months.
