With the Galaxy S26 series launch finally closing in, the final hardware details are being cemented by regulatory bodies. In a latest leak, new EU energy labels of the Galaxy S26 series have surfaced, revealing what could be the final battery capacities ahead of launch.
Galaxy S26 series battery capacities are no surprise
Spotted first by Ytechb on the EU's official Energy Labels certification website, the filings confirm that the standard Galaxy S26 will get the long rumoured battery upgrade to 4,300mAh. The typical capacity is 4,175mAh, a bump from 4,000mAh on the Galaxy S25.

Meanwhile, the larger models remain largely the same as previous generations. The Galaxy S26+ boasts a 4,755mAh rated capacity and is marketed as 4,900mAh. On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra lists a 4,855mAh rating, translating to 5,000mAh typical battery capacity.
Beyond battery capacities, the leaked energy charts highlight longer lifespan metrics. All the smartphones are rated to retain 80% of their original capacity after 1,200 full charge cycles, suggesting excellent longevity.

We also know from earlier leaks that the Galaxy S26 could stick to 25W charging, the Galaxy S26+ could get 45W charging, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra could boast an upgraded 60W charging. Reports also suggest the standard Galaxy S26 models may miss out on Qi2 wireless charging, while the Ultra could be the first Samsung phone with built-in magnets.
In terms of build quality, the trio secured an A in drop resistance and due to the presence of IP68 water and dust resistance. However, repairability takes a backseat as the smartphones received a C grade in the same.
The Galaxy S26 series is set to launch on February 25, 2026, at Samsung's first Galaxy Unpacked event for 2026. We recently learned that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could get a sharp price increase due to the ongoing memory shortage. Besides, the Galaxy S26 Ultra's online-exclusive colours were also leaked, suggesting two Samsung shop-exclusive colour variants.
