While the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is still a few months away, the leaks and rumours are nowhere near ending. The latest leak has now given us a glimpse into the Galaxy S26 Ultra's alleged rear camera setup.
Tipster Ice Universe took to X to reveal that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a new 12 MP telephoto camera. It is said to be a 3x lens with an f/2.4 aperture. To recall, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra featured a 10 MP 3x telephoto unit. So, in terms of megapixel count, the upcoming Ultra is gaining 2 MP.

5x 50MP F2.9
Other than that, there doesn't appear to be any changes coming to the other sensors. It is still expected to pack a 200 MP main camera with an f/1.4 aperture as that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The 50 MP ultra-wide and the 50 MP periscope sensors are also making its way to the S26 Ultra from the previous model.
That said, while the megapixel counts have remained the same, the sensors used for each lens could differ. For instance, leaker Roland Quandt revealed that the new 12 MP telephoto unit could feature a new "SK53LD" sensor. While it is not immediately clear which sensor this SKU is referring to, Ice Universe claims that this is a new sensor.

Apart from this, it is not certain at this time if the other sensors will receive notable upgrades or not. As for the other specifications, the Galaxy S25 Ultra could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 60W fast USB-C charging support. It could also draw its power from the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (aka Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5) mobile processor.
Samsung is also likely going to add a larger screen on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It is expected to be 6.89 inches up from the Galaxy S25 Ultra's 6.86-inch display. The device is still going to be boxy, as revealed by the Galaxy S26 series prototypes. However, S26 Ultra could also feature extra rounded corners.
That said, since the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to break cover by early January 2026, we should hear more in the coming months.
