The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is already buzzing loudly in the rumour mill. A lot has been outed about the upcoming flagship already and now, it has surfaced online once again, courtesy of an unofficial case listing. The new revelation has not just confirmed the design of the phone but also shed some light on some interesting key details.
Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature Qi 2.2 wireless charging protocol
Popular smartphone case brand Thinborne has made a full-fledged Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra webpage live, advertising their Aramid Fiber case for the smartphone. The listing shows a raised camera cutout housing three lenses in what appears to be a pill-shaped island. The other two lenses are not a part of the island, and their placement resembles previous Galaxy "S" series phones.

This new development falls in line with a previous Galaxy S26 Ultra case leak, which revealed a similar back design and footprint. However, the biggest revelation this new listing has made is the unofficial announcement of Qi 2.2 wireless charging support for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
For those unaware, the Qi 2 25W wireless charging protocol was made official by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) back in July 2025. It is an upgrade over the existing Qi 2.0 charging protocol and brings 25W fast charging and MagSafe compatibility support to Android phones.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL became the first Android phone to adopt this. Now, it looks like the Galaxy S26 Ultra will become the second phone to do so. Other than that, the listing has made no comment regarding the other specs of the smartphone. We already know that it is going to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and One UI 8.5 update based on Android 16.
Some of the other leaked specifications include a 5,000mAh battery with 60W fast USB-C charging support. A 200 MP main camera is also expected with a wider f/1.4 aperture. However, the 3x telephoto snapper could be downgraded to a smaller sensor, but it will still be a 10 MP lens. The 50 MP ultrawide and 5x periscope are expected to remain the same.
That said, the latest reports do suggest that the Galaxy S26 series is delayed and will not arrive in January 2026 as expected. So, there's still quite some time left for the leaks to stop and we can expect to see some interesting details surface in the coming days.
