Samsung has been hard at work testing One UI 9.0 on the latest Galaxy S26 series, as it recently rolled out Beta 3 with loads of bug fixes. The brand has also been found testing Beta on Galaxy S25 and S24 series, and now adds Galaxy S23 series to that, as new Galaxy S23 internal One UI 9 builds have been spotted.
Samsung Galaxy S23 One UI 9 Internal Testing has Commenced
Earlier today, X user Fahad Ali Javed posted that he had spotted the first One UI 9 build for the Galaxy S23 series with firmware versions S911BXXUAGZF9, S911BOXMAGZF9 and S911BXXUAGZF9 on Samsung's servers. For starters, the S911 refers to the Galaxy S23 series, and ZF9 refers to an official internal build.

This makes the Galaxy S23 series the fourth device/series in line that is being tested for the upcoming release. For those unaware, Samsung was recently found testing One UI 9.0 internally on the Galaxy A57, Galaxy S25, S24 series and Galaxy A56.
The post doesn't reveal a concrete launch timeline for the Beta on Galaxy S23. However, considering many One UI 9 eligible phones are in line for the update, we estimate that the first One UI 9 Beta for Galaxy S23 could arrive in at least five to six weeks, considering Galaxy S23 is 3 years old at this point and might be a low priority.
That said, Samsung has made it easier to join One UI Beta, so it should be much easier for the Galaxy S23 series users to enrol/exit the beta program when it finally drops. That said, the series should also get access to nearly all the One UI 9 features as the beta testing progresses.
While One UI 8.5 was based on Android 16 QPR2, One UI 9 will be based on the newly released Android 17. Besides, One UI 9 stable is expected to make its debut on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 smartphones. The brand recently rolled out One UI 9 Beta 3 on the Galaxy S26 series.
As for the other smartphones, the update is expected to roll out by the end of 2026, in November. We should see a lot more test builds appear as time progresses, so stay tuned.
