Vivo has teased the Y500 4G, its next budget phone and it's coming with a massive battery. The teasers have gone live in Nepal and it confirms a 1.5K Infinity AMOLED display and an 8,100mAh BlueVolt battery. Note that it looks like the 4G variant of the Vivo Y500 5G, but the two phones look pretty different.
The Vivo Y500 4G Packs an 8,100mAh Battery
The standout feature of the Vivo Y500 4G is that it has a battery capacity of 8,100mAh. On paper, it means you should comfortably get up to two days of battery life. Now, pair that with a 1.5K Infinity AMOLED display and it appears Vivo is targeting people who mainly care about battery life and screen quality above everything else.
As for the teaser, it shows the phone in a white colour option with a vertical rear camera module. That is a clear break from the circular camera module on the Chinese Y500 5G. This is a fresh design rather than a straight rebadge of the Vivo Y500 5G.
Vivo is using its familiar "Y So Cool" tagline for the launch and there is "Aspherical Camera" branding sitting on the module too.

On the processor front, Vivo is only calling it an "ultra-smooth" chip for now. A recent listing points to a Unisoc T7300 chip with 8 GB of RAM and Android 16 out of the box, running on OriginOS 6. Note that the Unisoc T7300 chip is a 4G-only chip and the company calls it the fastest 4G SoC yet, featuring dual Cortex-A78 cores.
Just so you know, the 5G version runs on the Dimensity 7300 processor and features a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel, a 50MP main camera and a slightly bigger 8,200mAh battery. Vivo is yet to reveal the 4G model's charging speed or camera details.
Vivo also has not confirmed a launch date, pricing or an India release. The Y500 5G started at CNY 1,399 (around Rs 17,000) in China, so if the 4G variant does make it to India, it might be priced under sub-Rs 20,000 segment.
