We are just a day away from the official Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026. Set to go live on February 25, 2026, the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will go live alongside the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+. So, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra release date just around the corner, here's everything you need to know before considering an upgrade.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Specifications and Features (Expected)

For the past few months, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has emerged as one of the most leaked phones so far. From its design, to display, processor and even software features, we know almost every detail about the upcoming Ultra flagship.

Earlier this month, a bunch of Galaxy S26 Ultra high-res renders emerged online. They revealed the same core design as that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but with slightly more rounded corners and thinner display bezels. The rear camera module is also getting a facelift with a dedicated pill-shaped vertical camera island, housing three of the five lenses.

Also, with a now more refined design, the phone is getting new colourways. Based on the Galaxy S26 Ultra leaked colours report, the phone will arrive in six finishes: Black, White, Silver Shadow, Sky Blue, Cobalt Violet and Pink Gold. So, fans will have plenty of new colourways to choose from.

As for the specs, the phone is said to retain the same 6.9-inch QHD+ 120 Hz LTPO Dynamic AMOLED 2X display as that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, it will bring the all-new Privacy Display tech, which is aimed at making peeking into the smartphone almost impossible.

Unlike software-based privacy filters that only dim the screen, Samsung's implementation is built directly into the hardware. The tech allows the screen to remain clear when viewed head-on, but makes it harder to read when viewed from the side and/or from top or bottom.

Powering it all is going to be the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It will reportedly be topped off with the stable update of OneUI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box. Also, just like previous S series phones, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will also enjoy 7 years of software and security support.

Besides, while Samsung could stick to using a 5,000mAh battery, the Galaxy S26 Ultra charging speeds could be bumped to 60W. It will also likely support the Qi2 wireless charging protocol, but not natively. Current leaks claim that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will skip Qi2 charging standard.

Now, one of the main highlights of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the cameras are expected to bring some interesting changes. While the core five-camera setup will remain the same, with the 200 MP main sensor and 10 MP 3x telephoto camera, the 50 MP periscope and 50 MP ultra-wide angle lenses are expected to arrive with improved focal lengths.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Price in India (Expected)

Now, talking about how much the phone will cost, the Galaxy S26 Ultra price hike is pretty much confirmed. With the ongoing RAM crisis, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra price could start from  Rs 1,39,999 for the base 12 GB + 256 GB model. Meanwhile, the 12 GB + 512 GB and 12 GB + 1 TB variants will reportedly be priced at Rs 1,51,999 and Rs 1,75,999, respectively.

This indicates a substantial Rs 10,000 jump in price for every model, when compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. All in all, we are excited to see the Galaxy S26 Ultra go official tomorrow. With a more refined design, a powerful chipset and all-new software and hardware features, make sure to tune in to Beebom Gadgets for the latest coverage of the Galaxy Unpacked event.
