Summary

  • Vivo has officially unveiled the Vivo X300, X300 Pro and X300 Pro Mini in China.
  • They come with BOE Q10+ 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED displays, Dimensity 9500 processor and OriginOS 6 out of the box.
  • Vivo X300 will retail from 4,399 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 55,000), while the X300 Pro will be available for a starting price of 5,299 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 66,000).

After months of teasers, reveals and updates, the Vivo X300 series is now finally official. The devices were revealed at a dedicated Vivo event in China and are the first set of phones to ship with the Dimensity 9500 chip and OriginOS 6. Here is everything new with the Vivo X300, X300 Pro and X300 Pro mini.

Vivo X300, X300 Pro and X300 Pro Mini arrive in China with a new design and powerful peripherals

The Vivo X300 lineup brings a new refined design language with a new cold sculpted back design. It builds on the X200 series' design with the big circular camera island at the top. However, the camera deco is now fused with the back glass, giving the smartphones a continuous, polished and interruption-free experience.

On the inside, all three phones ship with the brand-new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. The X300 series is the first set of devices to feature the 3nm octa-core SoC, with ARM's latest C1 cores, the Mali-G1-Ultra MC 12 GPU and the MediaTek NPU 990. So, performance-wise, the devices are definitely beefed up.

Additionally, there is also a vapour chamber cooling module inside the smartphones, which is essential to manage the thermals. Apart from the core configuration the only difference between the three phones is the size of the heat dissipation chamber.

Now, coming to the software, they're the first phones to feature the newly launched Origin OS 6 based on Android 16 out-of-the-box. The lineup joins other OriginOS 6 supported devices offering features like a new transparent UI with translucent textures and elements, a new Blue River Smooth Engine for fluid animations, updated Atomic Island, notification and widgets stacking, cross-ecosystem connectivity and more.

There are also a bunch of new AI tools like Object Eraser in Live Photos, a new AI image editor, AI voice prompts, Circle to Search 2.0 and more.

Vivo's first custom-made 200 MP sensor debuts with the X300 series

The "X" lineup from Vivo has always focused on providing cutting-edge camera capabilities housed within a smartphone's chassis. The story is no different with the X300 series as well.

Vivo, Zeiss and Samsung have collaborated deeply to introduce the first ever custom-built 200 MP Samsung ISOCESS HPB "Thanos" sensor. While the Vivo X300 Pro and the X300 Pro Mini will use this 200 MP sensor as the periscope telephoto camera, the standard X300 will use the same 200 MP for its primary lens

Apart from this, the X300 Pro and the X300 Pro Mini also share the same 50 MP Sony LYT-818 main sensor and the 50 MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide angle camera. Only the X300 has a 50 MP Sony LYT-602 periscope camera and a 50 MP 1/1.95-inch ultra-wide angle lens. All three smartphones share the same 50 MP selfie Samsung JN1 camera at the front.

The X300 lineup is further backed by the BOE Q10+ display

While the X300, X300 Pro and the X300 Pro Mini have excelled in the camera, processor, software and design departments, the display has not been left out of the equation. All three phones are fitted with an advanced BOE Q10+ LTPO AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.

They even use LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Overmolding) technology to bring the display bezel size down to as low as 1.1mm. The only difference between the smartphones is in their size, where the X300 Pro gets the biggest panel at 6.78-inches. Meanwhile, both the X300 and the X300 Pro feature a 6.31-inch display.

Other than that, talking aboout the X300 series battery and charging details. While all three phones feature 90W fast USB-C charging and 40W wireless charging, they vary vastly in terms of the cell capacity. The standard Vivo X300 has a 6,040mAh inside. Meanwhile, the X300 Pro gets a 6,510mAh battery upgrade.

Apart from this, all three phones bring an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner to the table, a stereo speaker setup, a dual IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance rating, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, an Infrared port, GPS, dual SIM 5G and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port.

Hence, based on the above details, there is no doubt that the Vivo X300 series has ushered in the next wave of Android flagships in 2025 and beyond. Now, while the X300, X300 Pro Mini and the X300 Pro flex their muscles big time, they somehow manage to not carry the "premium" tag when it comes to pricing.

Vivo X300 will start from 4,399 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 55,000) for the 12 GB + 256 GB model. Meanwhile, the X300 Pro is slated to retail from 5,299 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 66,000) for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant. The brand hasn't confirmed the pricing and other details of the X300 Pro Mini at the time of writing.

As for the colour options, interested folks will be able to score the X300 in the Free Blue, Comfortable Purple, Pure Black, and Lucky Colour options. While the X300 Pro will be available to purchase in the Wilderness Brown, Simple White, Free Blue and Pure Black hues.
