The Xiaomi 17T series has finally launched globally, bringing Leica-powered cameras, big batteries and capable MediaTek chipsets to the table. Comprising the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, the latest lineup focuses on bringing a range of camera improvements and features to stand out. 

Xiaomi 17T, 17T Pro Specifications and Features

Starting with the display, both phones feature a 1.5K AMOLED display. However, while the regular Xiaomi 17T uses a more compact 6.59-inch 120 Hz display, the Pro model uses a bigger 6.83-inch panel with a faster 144 Hz refresh rate. There are also dual stereo speakers on both phones to make the multimedia experience all the more immersive. Apart from that, both phones arrive with an aluminium frame and an IP68 rating.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17T is powered by the powerful mid-range Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC, which is slightly better-tuned than the regular Dimensity 8500 chipset. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17T Pro utilises the flagship Dimensity 9500 processor.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is also beefier with a 7,000mAh battery, while the regular model uses a 6,500mAh unit. The Pro model also charges faster with 100W fast charging support and makes things more convenient with 50W wireless charging support. On the other hand, the 17T is limited to 67W charging and misses out on wireless charging. 

In terms of optics, the Xiaomi 17T Pro sports a 50 MP Light Fusion 950 Leica Summilux primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.67, a 50 MP Leica 5x telephoto lens with 30cm telemacro support and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17T packs a toned-down 50 MP Light Fusion 800 main camera instead, while keeping the rest of the setup unchanged.

Xiaomi has also introduced Leica Live Moments, which is the brand's version of "bringing imagery to a new live format." This is similar to how Apple and OnePlus's Live Photo feature works. Adding its unique twist to the format, the brand has also introduced Live Collages. Users can add up to 9 live photos to this collage and share live stories on the go.

Apart from that, both phones run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box. Xiaomi also confirms that both phones get AirDrop support, making them all the more versatile.

Xiaomi 17T, 17T Pro Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi 17T price in global markets starts at 749 euros (approximately Rs 83,500), while the Xiaomi 17T Pro is starts at 899 euros (approximately Rs 1,00,000). 

As for colourways, the Xiaomi 17T arrives in Opal White, Blue, Violet and Black colourways. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 17T Pro gets Deep Violet, Deep Blue and Black colour options.
