Samsung has confirmed its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event for July 22 in London. The event starts at 2 6:30 PM IST and will be streamed live on Samsung's YouTube channel. Going by the flood of leaks, we are looking at three foldables, two smartwatches, the stable One UI 9 debut and possibly Samsung's first smart glasses. So, if you are curious about everything Samsung is expected to announce, here is a complete rundown.
1. Galaxy Z Fold 8
The major announcement expected at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and it's not a successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. According to the latest Galaxy Z Fold 8 specs leak, it's a shorter, wider and passport-style foldable with a 5.5-inch cover display in a handy 16:10 aspect ratio. Open it up and you get a 7.6-inch 4:3 inner display, which should make videos and reading more comfortable.

Under the hood, the leaks point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, paired with 12GB of RAM on the 256GB and 512GB models and 16GB of RAM on the 1TB variant. The battery is said to be 4,800mAh with 45W wired charging and the phone reportedly weighs just 201 grams. It's even lighter than the Galaxy S26 Ultra and at 4.5mm unfolded, it's impressively thin.
There are trade-offs, though. The Fold 8 is expected to ship with only two rear cameras including a 50MP main and a 50MP ultra-wide lens with no telephoto lens. Tipster Ice Universe also claims there is no S Pen support and no Privacy Display from the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Leaked US pricing puts it at $1,899 (~Rs 1,83,000) for the 256GB model.

2. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
Interestingly, the actual successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is now called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The recent leaked images of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra show a familiar tall book-style design but improves the foldable in three key areas. The inner display jumps to a 2504 x 2256 resolution, the ultra-wide camera is upgraded from 12MP to 50MP and the battery is increased from 4,400mAh to 5,000mAh with 45W wired charging support.

The rest of the camera setup remains the same, which means a 200MP main sensor and a 10MP 3x telephoto. The Fold 8 Ultra is also expected to be slightly thinner at 4.1mm when unfolded and weighs 218 grams. It runs the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip, which is essentially a higher-clocked variant of Qualcomm's flagship processor.
As for the price, a leak from Korean outlet suggests the Fold 8 Ultra will start at $2,099 (~Rs 2,02,000) in the US, which will be a $100 hike over the Fold 7. Given the ongoing RAM shortage and smartphone price hikes across the board this year, a 5% increase is reasonable I think.

3. Galaxy Z Flip 8
The new Flip 8 is getting a minor retouch this year, if we go by Galaxy Z Flip 8 leaked renders. A leaked retailer spec sheet indicates the phone has barely changed from the Z Flip 7 and retains the same 6.9-inch 120Hz main display. You would get the 4.1-inch cover screen, the 50MP + 12MP camera setup and the same 4,300mAh battery.

The one big change is the chipset. The Flip 8 is expected to run the Exynos 2600 processor, which is Samsung's first 2nm processor and it already powers the Galaxy S26 and S26+ in India and other markets. Note that in the US, you may get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
That said, the new Exynos 2600 chipset is reportedly around 28% faster than the Flip 7's chip. And if you are wondering how Samsung's in-house chip stacks up against Qualcomm's flagship processor, our Exynos 2600 vs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 benchmark comparison has you covered.

4. A Nearly Invisible Crease, Thanks to Flex Titanium
On July 15, Samsung officially unveiled Flex Titanium ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. It's a redesigned foldable display structure and it's debuting on the next-generation Samsung foldables. There are two titanium components including an ultra-thin titanium-alloy film that is around 20 times stiffer than the old polymer layer. And it's also thinner than a human hair. Next, a titanium plate with micro-patterned holes that keep it flexible.

According to Samsung, you get a tougher screen and reduced crease line. A leaked hands-on video of the Fold 8 Ultra shows a crease that is nearly invisible even after repeated folding. Some tipsters are calling this the biggest foldable display breakthrough since the Ultra Thin Glass and I think they might not be exaggerating.

5. One UI 9
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked is not just a hardware event this year. Samsung will also debut the stable version of One UI 9, based on Android 17. It will ship out of the box on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8. The update has been in beta on the Galaxy S26 series since May and a stable rollout for other devices like the Galaxy S26, Z Fold 7, etc. is expected around September. You can check out our list of One UI 9 eligible devices.

Since One UI 8.5 already brought the big redesign, One UI 9 is going to refine and improve things further. One UI 9 features include larger brightness and volume sliders and an improved lock screen media player with waveform animations. There are a handful of Android 17 goodies including system-wide bubbles that let you run any app in a small floating window.
The standout feature, however, is expected to be Gemini Intelligence, which is Google's agentic AI layer that can chain together several actions from a single request. It skipped the beta entirely and Samsung is reportedly saving a dedicated announcement for the Unpacked 2026 event. Note that it will likely remain exclusive to flagship-grade hardware, at least initially.

6. Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2
Samsung's wearables are getting a major upgrade in years. Both the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 have leaked and they are expected to ditch the Exynos W1000 chip for Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite (SW6100) chip, which is going to be a first for the Galaxy Watch lineup. Leaked Geekbench numbers show the new 3nm chip beats the Exynos W1000 by over 50% in CPU and GPU tests.

The Watch 9 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes with aluminium cases, 2GB of RAM and Bluetooth 6.0. It runs Wear OS 7 with One UI 9 Watch out of the box. The Watch Ultra 2 gets a bigger 800mAh battery, up from the original Ultra's 590mAh battery. There is also a titanium case, 100-metre water resistance support and a display that peaks at a whopping 5,000 nits.
7. Galaxy Glasses
Finally, the most exciting product Samsung may unveil at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. Samsung's Galaxy Glasses is supposed to take on Meta's Ray-Ban glasses and it may debut or at least get a proper tease at the event. Leaks describe a display-free and audio-first design running One UI XR on Google's Android XR platform. It will be powered by Gemini with a camera and speakers.

A leaked Glasses Manager app also revealed Warby Parker and Gentle Monster frames, which are built in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm. It's being rumoured that these glasses may be priced between $379 and $499 (~Rs 48,000).
How to Watch Galaxy Unpacked 2026
Galaxy Unpacked 2026 will be streamed live on July 22 at 6:30 PM IST (2 PM BST / 9 AM EDT) on Samsung.com and Samsung's official YouTube channel. Samsung has already opened reservations towards pre-orders and pre-orders for the new devices are expected to go live right after the event. Note that devices will start shipping from early August.
That said, don't expect Samsung to show everything at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. The Galaxy Ring 2 is now rumoured for 2027, while the Galaxy Tab S12 series and the Galaxy S26 FE may launch in September. Even so, with three foldables, two smartwatches, One UI 9 and a possible Galaxy Glasses debut, Samsung's summer event is going to be pretty packed, especially since the foldable iPhone is coming later this year.
